I've been retired for several years after a long career in education. I'm a fairly quiet person and a good listener; I prefer to socialise with a few close friends rather than in large groups. My main interests are my garden, bird-watching and walks in the country; I also spend time researching my family history. I love reading, and enjoy history programmes on TV. I volunteer at our local community library.
