Fastelavn

It's close to Halloween, but there is no trick or treating. You dress up, in the noon, meet with the local people, often in old people's home (plejehjem) and there we "slår katten af tønden" translated to beat the cat of the barrel. But there is to cat, there is only candy! So the first person to beat the bottom of the barrel out, becomes a Queen. The person who beats the last plate of the barrel becomes a King. Afterwards the Queen and King are celebrated and they win a price!!!
