Mettbrötchen for breakfast

Many people all across Germany like having a “Mettbrötchen”for breakfast.It consists of a “Brötchen”,a type of German bread roll and “Mett”. Mett is a German delicacy made from raw minced pork, which is often bought from the butcher already seasoned with salt and pepper, sometimes also garlic and ground caraway seeds and is then topped off with some chopped onion. In northern Germany it is known as Hackepeter.In general, Mett is one of those things that people either love or hate.
