Saint David’s day ( dydd gwyl Dewi Sant )

St David’s day ( or “dydd gwyl Dewi” in Welsh ) is on march 1st and is a traditional feast day. Dewi, is the patron saint of Wales. We celebrate the love we have for our culture and the heritage of our country. we dress up in traditional welsh clothing and wear daffodils and leeks. We also eat cawl and Welsh rarebit to celebrate the day. We sing traditional welsh songs in concerts and eisteddfods in schools and dance traditional welsh dances to folk music called “dawnsio gwerin’.
